OVERVIEW

Creating contextual paths for Grammarly users

  • Led three activation experiments from concept to launch

  • Introduced Go within familiar user workflows

  • Balanced product discovery with trust and control

IMPACT

Driving adoption and shaping growth strategy

  • Shipped 3 MVP activation experiments

  • Converted 35% of exposed users to Go

  • Created 7 theme, and 21 concepts to shape the growth roadmap

  • Built 3 Claude-powered tools, reducing prototyping time by 62.5%

Background

Users were using Go without knowing its full value

Extending desktop invoicing to a mobile

experience for auto

repair estimators

After Grammarly became part of Superhuman, many legacy users continued using familiar writing tools without understanding what Go was or what more it could offer.

3M RepairStack Billables Invoicing is application that helps auto body shops create invoices for 3M materials.

After a major mobile release in Septโ€“Oct 2024, mobile invoicing increased 150%, revealing new opportunities to

support users creating invoices away from their desks.

How might we introduce Go at the right
moment without disrupting their workflow?

Design Goal

Introduce Goโ€™s value at the right moment.

Project under NDA

This project is protected by a non-disclosure agreement and cannot be shared publicly.

The goal was to help Grammarly users discover Go through contextual value while keeping every transition clear, optional, and within their control. I led and shipped

three MVP experiments, each testing a different Superhuman Go feature and use case.

PROCESS

Iterative growth process

From hypothesis to continuous learning

Each experiment began with a hypothesis, moved through rapid variants, and evolved through testing. The process was not linear that insights from earlier experiments shaped new directions, while each new test informed what came next.

As the sole UX designer, I led the project from research and concept development through testing and handoff.

PROCESS HIGHLIGHT

Using AI across the design workflow

Building a lasting research tool for the team

To make competitive research faster and reusable, I built an onboarding audit framework, Figma plugin, and synthesis website. This created a reusable competitive research workflow for the Growth Design team.

As the sole UX designer, I led the project from research and concept development through testing and handoff.

Speeding up experimentation

Used Figma AI and Claude to build interactive prototypes, pressure-test interaction variants, and align stakeholders before user testing. This reduced prototyping time by 62.5%, from 4 hours to 1.5 hours.

As the sole UX designer, I led the project from research and concept development through testing and handoff.

Supporting implementation

Translated validated concepts into detailed Figma handoff files and partnered with engineers through implementation and QA to maintain design quality through launch.

REFLECTION

My take away from the journey

๐Ÿ‘Š Project challenge

Staying grounded through rapid change

Working within a fast-moving growth team meant navigating shifting priorities, overlapping experiments, and frequent decisions. Clear communication, research, and data helped me stay focused and confident in my design judgment.

๐Ÿ“ What I learned

Alignment creates momentum
Strong work only moves forward when the team shares the same understanding.

Evidence strengthens decisions
Research and data helped separate strong opportunities from assumptions.

AI accelerates the process, not the judgment
AI helped me research, prototype, and compare directions faster,

while human judgment guided what to build and why.
